Kindergarten is that great transition time into "real school" for most kids and for homeschoolers it can be one of the most fun seasons as you watch your little ones really start to grasp concepts and understand what they're learning while still having fun! Here are some great ideas for making the most of the Kindergarten school year.
Sequence for Kids
We didn't have this game for our kids so I can't give my personal recommendation but it looks like a great game for memory and sequencing - two very important skills for math mastery.
Classic Wooden Abacus
Every child from preschool age or up should own a basic abacus to assist them in learning place value. Absolutely the best way to help a child concretely begin to understand the whole concept of ones, tens, hundreds, etc. Plus the kids love to mess with the beads so it makes learning very fun! Here's a great blog post from another homeschooler that talks about the fun use of an abacus.
